Anders Sandvik

Dr. Anders Sandvik’s research is focused on quantum many-body physics. He develops lattice models aiming to capture emerging phenomena in quantum matter. He also develops computational algorithms to enable reliable characterization of the properties of the models using large-scale simulations. His recent research has shed new light on quantum magnets undergoing phase transitions and the role of disorder (impurities) in forming novel quantum states of matter.
