CS Student Poster Session: Tools for Data Science
Hariri Institute for Computing, 111 Cummington Mall
The Hariri Institute is pleased to host a student poster session Friday, May 5th from 3-5PM. The event will feature projects completed by students enrolled in the spring iteration of CS 506 (ENG 500), taught by Evimaria Terzi, Associate Professor of Computer Science.
Projects for the class were sourced by BU Spark!, and students had the opportunity to be matched with companies, nonprofits and public sector agencies to tackle small-scale projects in the field of computer science. Partner organizations include the ALCU, Boston Globe Spotlight team, Converse, and Microsoft. The projects are completed by student teams, with support from Professor Terzi, a teaching fellow, and the BU Spark! team. Through this experiential learning opportunity, students are able to apply classroom learning to real-world challenges and gain exposure to potential employers.
