Admissions Reception Center Construction 4/5/13
Other than some brick and concrete sidewalk replacement where we had been trenching in the Alpert Mall area, and final replacement of the grass surface, we are essentially now complete with the major work of the Sewer Separation Project.
The next three phases of construction in the roadway area of the new Admissions Reception Center will take place as follows:
1) Phase one: Begins Monday 4/8 (projected through Friday 4/19) and will close the second entrance to the CAS Parking Lot (entrance furthest west) while keeping the main entrance to the CAS Parking Lot open. Delivery traffic further west past the existing main entrance to the CAS Parking Lot will be diverted as shown to allow construction of new roadway surface. Pedestrian sidewalk passage will be maintained.
2) Phase two: Begins Monday 4/22 (projected through Friday 5/3) and will re-open the second entrance to the CAS Parking Lot (entrance furthest west) while now working on creating a new main entrance to the CAS Parking Lot with new parking hut/booth and gated lanes. All public access to the CAS Parking Lot will be through the second entrance (entrance furthest west).
3) Phase three: Begins Monday 5/6 with the opening for general use of the new main entrance to the CAS Parking Lot with new parking hut/booth and gated lanes. The second entrance to the CAS Parking Lot will now be permanently closed.
Please note that these are the general phases of work and that the dates are tentative…we will advise if the durations of each phase will be changing. Also, for those who will need to have large vehicle deliveries or access to the Tsai Center, for example dumpster removals or catering/vending supplies, please contact BU Parking Services to confirm your schedule needs so that they may assist with any special parking restrictions in the CAS Lot to allow your trucks to enter and exit.
