The Institute for Excellence in Teaching & Learning takes an active role in fostering a culture of innovation and embracing the transformative power of artificial intelligence. We believe it is important to envision a future where we can leverage advancements in technology to make education more accessible, affordable and rewarding.

We are also actively reviewing the role that third party generative AI tools, such as Chat GPT, play at BU, and how we can safely use AI to support faculty, staff and students in enhancing their work. We will continue to convene faculty and leaders on this work, and we will  provide updated resources and tools to help inform teaching and learning in the age of AI.

AI Faculty In-Studio Workshops

The Institute for Excellence in Teaching & Learning and AIDA are facilitating a series of AI In-Studio Workshops. These workshops are built to meet the needs of our faculty and staff. Whether you’d like to practice developing AI policies in your syllabi and integrate AI in your coursework, discover effective prompting in the workplace, or explore the capabilities of TerrierGPT, register for a workshop for hands-on experience.

Innovative Use of AI Staff Symposium

In partnership the AI Development Accelerator, the Institute for Excellence in Teaching & Learning is hosting a symposium for staff interested in learning more about the AI work currently in motion from the university’s administrative teams. Staff will have the chance to learn more about AIDA’s mission and ask the team questions. Administrative leaders will also showcase examples of innovative AI uses and available staff resources for innovating with AI. We hope to see you there!

If you are unable to attend in person, you can also join via livestream. To join the livestream, please visit: https://bostonu.zoom.us/j/97680326542?pwd=iATAKyBKl9XTjEBdstjcaxt0SxP2tH.1
