Student Employees
The Equal Opportunity Office is dedicated to advancing Boston University’s commitment to equitable access. Our mission is to uphold equal opportunity principles throughout the university community by fostering an environment where faculty, staff, and students can engage in work and study free from unlawful harassment, discrimination, or sexual misconduct.
To accomplish this, all student employees are required to take the “Title IX Reporting Responsibilities as BU Student Employee” course. This course reviews student employee responsibilities as mandated reporters in the context of their employment. It takes about 10 minutes to complete and must be completed annually. You will have 30 days to complete the training and will receive regular reminders as the deadline approaches. To learn more about mandated reporters please see the Interim Equal Opportunity and Title IX Policy.
