Boston is a dynamic, beautiful, cosmopolitan city, a nexus of innovation and academia, rich in history and history in the making. It’s home to thousands upon thousands of college students and scholars, a vibrant cultural scene, endless outdoor recreation, and a full slate of professional sports.

But we also recognize that negative perceptions about Boston persist, rooted in sometimes outmoded realities. At BU Diversity & Inclusion, we seek to disrupt and dispel those views by elevating the voices and authentic experiences of our community members, be it through crowdsourced guides, campus forums and programming, or guest lectures. Boston is constantly changing—sometimes rapidly, sometimes with prodding—but with everyone’s inclusion and participation, we believe, ever for the better. Together, we’re disrupting old narratives and forging new ones.
