Inclusive Pedagogy Institute
The Inclusive Pedagogy Initiative and the Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL), together with CAS Diversity & Inclusion and Boston University Diversity & Inclusion (BU D&I), are pleased to announce the third annual Inclusive Pedagogy Institute (BU IPI). The BU IPI offers a unique opportunity for participants to come together to consider innovative course design, classroom techniques, and departmental engagement practices that create inclusive and supportive learning environments.
This year’s Institute will be designed around dialogue-based inclusive teaching practices (often called “Courageous Conversations”), supported by workshops throughout the year to give participants the opportunity to develop strategies and skills for approaches to inclusive teaching in the classroom. With support from CTL, participants will be asked to document and reflect on changes within their classes based on their inclusive pedagogy approaches.
The Institute will take place in person from June 11-13, 2024.
