Muslim, Arab, and Palestinian Alliance

The mission of the Muslim, Arab, Palestinian Alliance (MAP Alliance) is to build connections and foster a sense of community among individuals who identify as Muslim, Arab, and/or Palestinian—and their allies. It is crucial to the mission of this faculty and staff network that the multitude of intersectional identities that exist among us are honored, served, and elevated—both within programs, activities, and the leadership of the network as well as through the collaborations and connections the network cultivates with other Faculty and Staff Community Networks (FSCNs) and organizations on and off campus. In service of these interdependent ideals, the MAP Alliance will create and/or connect its membership to programs, activities, and events that elevate the interests and varying intersectional identities that exist within the group. The MAP Alliance, through its dedication to supporting a strong, connected community, will help to ensure Boston University remains an institution where the differences between us are understood to be a source of mutual power, insight, and effectiveness.   

Membership of the MAP Alliance is open to all faculty and staff of Boston University. Membership is not restricted to faculty and staff who identify as Muslim, Arab, and/or Palestinian.

Ongoing Activities:

The MAP Alliance meets the third Friday of every month for a social (halal) lunch gathering from 12 to 2 pm at CDS. Other events will be posted on the FSCN events calendar and shared through our newsletter.
