Second Annual Gathering of New England Planetary Scientists

Date: Saturday April 27, 2013

Time: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Place: Boston University

New England is home to a broad range of planetary scientists and their students, yet we seldom capitalize on our proximity to gather together for exploring collaborations and synergies. Such gatherings can most especially benefit our students and postdocs as they build connections among their cohorts and with local institutions.

To wit, a gathering was held Saturday April 27, hosted at Boston University. A program of short informal talks was organized. These talks aimed more toward introducing and informing about the work that we do, rather than emphasizing research results. Talks by undergraduate and graduate students were particularly encouraged, as were talks by postdocs. The format was painless: a limit of two slides and three minutes in front of a friendly and encouraging local audience.
