First-Year Student Outreach Project (FYSOP)

Overview: FYSOP inspires first-year students to become active, socially responsible community members. Starting with a day of service in August and continuing through the fall semester with a cohort of peers, participants build friendships and engage in service, education, reflection, and fun. The program helps students understand how intersectionality shapes their community, encourages intentional language around service and social justice, and provides mentor support to develop skills for navigating college and creating strong support systems while fostering a deeper connection to Boston and BU.
