PhD Student
Yi is currently a Ph.D. student in Computer Science Department at Boston University, advised by Prof. Margrit Betke .
Before Ph.D. study, he was an algorithm engineer in an image quality team in General Electrics, Healthcare, where he worked on developing image quality tools & algorithms, conducting verification & validation of radiological imaging equipment.
Yi obtained his master degree in Electrical Engineering at University of Southern California. During his graduate study he worked/interned in Biomedical Imaging Lab led by Prof.Boqiang Liu at the Shandong University. He obtained his bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Shandong University, China.
His major interest is on visual recognition, and his currently working on text recognition to aid in visual object class recognition.
