
Postdoctoral Associate
Xiaoting Zhang is a postdoctoral researcher working with Prof. Emily Whiting in the Shape Lab at Boston University. She received her Ph.D. in the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, under the supervision of Prof. Charlie C.L. Wang. She obtained her M.S. in Mechatronics Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University. From 2009 to 2012, she was an associate researcher at Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Xiaoting’s research is concerned with 3D fabrication, computer-aided design and computational geometry. Her recent interests revolves around shape modeling and optimization for additive manufacturing.
