PhD student at Boston University
Sakshi is a PhD student at Boston University working with [Vasiliki (Vasia) Kalavri](https://www.cs.bu.edu/faculty/kalavri/) and [John Liagouris](https://www.cs.bu.edu/faculty/liagouris/) in the Complex Analytics and Scalable Processing Systems (CASP) Lab. Her research focuses on distributed systems and stream processing, with a particular interest in building efficient, disaggregated architectures for heterogeneous computing environments. Currently, she is developing a fully disaggregated stream processing system that decouples core data-plane and control-plane services to enable nonblocking online reconfiguration without pausing computation.
Prior to beginning her PhD, Sakshi completed her Master’s in Computer Science at Boston University, where she worked with [Manos Athanassoulis](https://www.cs.bu.edu/faculty/manos/) on dynamic parameter optimization for LSM-based databases. She received her Bachelor’s in Computer Science Engineering from IIIT Bhubaneswar, India. She has also worked as a Software Development Engineer at BNY Mellon.
