Senior Systems Administrator
George Kokkinogenis joined the Department of Computer Science in 2018. In his role George provides systems administration and desktop support services for the Computer Science Department’s Windows and Mac computing systems. He researches, designs, implements, and supports software environments needed to facilitate the instructional mission of the Department. Additionally, he supports the daily operations and supervises the student staff of the Department’s instructional computer labs.
George had been in the IT field for over 20 years starting with roles of IT support and assistance to management of infrastructure. During that time he has worked at various Universities in the area such as MIT and Harvard with ever increasing roles of support and responsibility. His last position was with a Fortune100 company, assisting and providing all manner of IT and technical support to the new startup ventures that the company has been working on. George lives in the Boston area and is avid supporter of local food and local businesses.
