PhD Candidate
Gabriel is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Computer Science Department at Boston University, advised by Professor Mark Crovella. He got a BSc and an MSc in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Viçosa, in Brazil, advised by Professor Giovanni Comarela. Before joining BU, he worked for both Localiza and SEEK AIPS, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, as a Data Scientist.
His main research interest is machine learning, especially semi-supervised settings applied in real-world problems. Moreover, he is interested in data mining, recommender systems, and fairness in machine learning.
