Assistant Professor

Alexander Poremba is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Boston University. He is also an affiliated faculty for the Department of Physics. His research focuses on quantum computing and its impact on physics and cryptography. He has made foundational contributions to the theory of quantum pseudorandomness, unclonable cryptography, and the post-quantum security of hash functions. He received his Ph.D. from Caltech in 2023, and he completed his postdoctoral studies at MIT.
