Academic Advisor
John Newton is an Undergraduate Academic Advisor in the Department of Computer Science. He is passionate about supporting students as they work toward their academic and professional goals. Before joining BU, John worked as an elementary school teacher and team leader through Teach For America, where he advocated for educational equity while supporting students from diverse backgrounds. He also served with the Peace Corps internationally, supporting literacy development among students and teachers.
Outside of work, John enjoys traveling, exploring history, and continuing his service with the Peace Corps through virtual service and recruitment.
