School of Law Project Earns Gold LEED Certification
The School of Law construction and renovation project completed in 2015 earned gold status in its LEED Certification Review, a ratings system designed to encourage sustainable design.

Onsite Construction: Interior MEP installation. Interior framing. Loading exterior staging on Beacon Street /installation of staging Bay State Road/removal of staging alley.
CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of 1/22/17
Ongoing sidewalk work — The sidewalk will be closed periodically along Commonwealth Avenue for vehicle access on the College of Communication (COM) and Morse Auditorium sides of the building. BUPD or BPD will be on site to direct pedestrians.
BU Theatre Center – Construction Activity – 1/19/17 – 2/3/16
Erection of steel at the West Theatre Building to continue – Steel columns, beams, and decking, as well as shear stud placement. Installation of temporary scaffolding will be beginning on Monday, 01/23/17 – Scaffold erection and tenting to be installed on the South Production Building.

Construction work at Myles Standish Hall from January 19 – January 27 will include the continued installation of roof, CMUs, and windows, and rebuilding exterior façade on the Beacon Street and Bay State Road sides of building.

The sidewalk will be closed periodically along Commonwealth Avenue for vehicle access on the College of Communication (COM) and Morse Auditorium sides of the building. BUPD or BPD will be on site to direct pedestrians. The remaining sidewalk will be prepped and poured and a planter will be added at the corner of Hinsdale Mall and Commonwealth Avenue.

BU Theatre Center – Construction Activity – 1/9/17 – 1/30/16
Key Construction Activities: Placement of spray fireproofing at Production Wing – Spray fireproofing to protect the Production Wing structural steel will be applied. Access will be from site. Placement of wall framing to enclose Production Wing exterior walls – Structural metal wall studs will be placed, with openings for windows and doors.
