BU Theatre Center – Construction Activity – 1/9/17 – 1/30/16
Key Construction Activities: Placement of spray fireproofing at Production Wing – Spray fireproofing to protect the Production Wing structural steel will be applied. Access will be from site. Placement of wall framing to enclose Production Wing exterior walls – Structural metal wall studs will be placed, with openings for windows and doors.
915 & 925 Comm. Ave. Water Overnight Shutdowns 1/9-1/13
Due to construction related to the Commonwealth Avenue Phase 2A project, water service will be shut off between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. from January 9 – 13 at 915 & 925 Commonwealth Avenue (FitRec & Agganis Arena) so work can be performed.
CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of 1/8/17
Ongoing sidewalk work — The sidewalk will be closed periodically along Commonwealth Avenue for vehicle access on the College of Communication (COM) and Morse Auditorium sides of the building so sidewalk can be prepped and poured in front of Morse. BUPD or BPD will be on site to direct pedestrians, and the sidewalk will reopen after 3:30 p.m.
Myles Standish Hall – Construction Activity – 1/7/17 to 1/13/17
For 1/7/17 to 1/13/17: Deliveries – Subcontractors will receive deliveries all week between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on both Beacon Street and Bay State Road. Saturday Work – 1/7/17 – Interior MEP installation. Interior framing. Hoist running load out and clean up on all floors – Dumpsters will be swapped out at Beacon Street and point park.

Comm Ave CAP 2A Construction Activity – Water Shutdowns 881, 871, and 855 Comm – 1/3, 1/4, and 1/5
Due to construction related to the Commonwealth Avenue Phase 2A project, there will be several water shutdowns at 881, 871, and 855 Commonwealth Avenue so work can be performed from January 3-5.
Myles Standish Hall – Construction Activity – 12/24/16 to 12/30/16
Snow Removal: During any snow events, snow removal operations could be occurring at all hours in order to keep up with the snow and get site ready for workers. These operations will require equipment, trucking, and manpower.
CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of 12/18/16
The sidewalk will be closed periodically along Commonwealth Avenue for vehicle access on the College of Communication (COM) and Morse Auditorium sides of the site so granite capstones can be installed. Starting 12/22/16, removal and replacement of the concrete walkway in front of the COM entrance will begin.
Myles Standish Hall – Construction Activity – 12/17/16-12/23/16
Thursday 12/22/16 – On the Beacon Street side of the building the site contractor will be working to bring in a new water main. This work will start at 2:30 p.m. and be completed by 11 p.m. We will need to work out of point park area with trucking to feed this work.
BU Theatre Center – Construction Activity – 12/16/16 – 1/6/16
Installation of temporary scaffolding will be begin on Monday, 12/19/16 – At 7 a.m. a truck will begin unloading scaffolding in the parking lot on the south side of 808 Commonwealth Avenue, for an unknown period of time. We will make every effort to move the truck if it becomes a problem for deliveries.
