Geothermal Well Drilling Initiative – Construction Update – 3/1/19
During the week of March 4:
Parking Lot Test Well #1
- The thermal conductivity test involving circulating fluid through the piping and measuring the temperature exchange with the ground to confirm the design assumptions was completed on 2/24.
- The high-performance geothermal exchange piping was cut and capped below grade at Test Well #1. This week, starting on 3/4, the contractor will be patching the pavement to allow the lot area to be returned to parking pending consolidation of the fenced area.
- Soil investigations within the parking lot were completed on 2/26.
Alley Test Well #2
