BU Theatre Center – Construction Activity – 12/9/16 – 12/19/16
For December 9, 2016 through December 19, 2016:
- Site preparation and construction activities will continue as permitted by the Town of Brookline and in accordance with the approved Construction Management Plan.
- Authorized work hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Brookline Police details will continue to be posted at the two construction site entrance gates, one at Essex Street and one at Dummer Street, to ensure public safety. The safety of our community is our highest priority, so we ask that you please pay close attention to posted signs, police, and safety personnel.
Key Construction Activities
- Pile Cap Completion – Structural pile and cap placement and placement of gravel at “D” column line.
- Reinforced Concrete Foundation Wall Placement – Walls will be placed at the perimeter of the building footprint. The last concrete placement is scheduled for 12/19/16.
- Upcoming Saturday Work: December 10th, December 17th , and December 24th Work includes concrete placement and form stripping.
- Now through December 19, 2016 – Placement of roof slab on the production wing along Dummer Street. Cast-in-place concrete foundations will be ongoing for the next several weeks at the theatre building. Tenting of the production building and installation of heaters, so that construction can continue through the winter.
