CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of November 8, 2015
For the week of November 8, 2015:
During the past week, the project team continued the installation of structural steel. To take advantage of the remaining good weather this season, there will be two shifts of work on-site each day. The second shift will start at 3 PM and end at 11 PM. The construction gates will be closed during the second shift, but a police detail will be present to ensure the safety of the community.
Friday (11/6) – Structural steel installation will continue on first shift. There will be 3 tractor trailer truck deliveries between 7 AM and 9 AM. The second shift will begin at 3 PM and will continue structural steel installation.
Saturday (11/7) – Waterproofing and detailing will be conducted within the project site.
Monday (11/9) – Structural steel installation will continue on first and second shifts. There will be 3 tractor trailer deliveries between 7 AM and 9 AM.
Tuesday (11/10) – Structural steel installation will continue during first and second shifts. There will be 3 tractor trailer deliveries between 7 AM and 9 AM. There will be a concrete pour during the morning on the east side of the site. Approximately 7 concrete trucks will enter the site at the east gate.
Wednesday (11/11) – No work due to Veteran’s Day.
Thursday (11/12) – Structural steel installation will continue during first and second shifts. There will be 3 to 4 tractor trailer deliveries between 7 AM and 9 AM.
Friday (11/13) – Structural steel installation will continue during first and second shifts. There will be 2 to 3 tractor trailer deliveries between 7 AM and 9 AM.
The construction team holds regularly scheduled communications meetings on the first Thursday of every month at 10:30 AM and the third Wednesday of every month at 1:00 PM. These meetings are open to the University community and are held in the project site office at 602 Commonwealth Avenue (basement of Morse Auditorium) unless otherwise noted. The schedule of these meetings is set through the fall semester (December 2015) and will be reexamined and/or reconfirmed for each semester as the project progresses.
The next communications meeting will be November 18th at 1:00 PM in the project site office at 602 Commonwealth Avenue.
