CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of September 6, 2015
For the week of September 6, 2015:
The installation of the concrete foundation will continue next week. Heavy truck traffic will be entering and leaving the site during the course of the week.
The project has installed signage and pedestrian barricades to help direct pedestrian and bike traffic safely along the eastbound side of Commonwealth Ave. The project team will continue to station police officers at the east and west ends of the site. We ask that local community follow the path identified by signage and construction barricades and be ready to take direction from police officers and project staff.
The construction team will hold regularly scheduled communications meetings on the first Thursday of every month at 10:30 AM and the third Wednesday of every month at 1:00 PM. These meetings are open to the University community and will be held in the project site office at 602 Commonwealth Avenue (basement of Morse Auditorium). The schedule of these meetings is set through the fall semester (December 2015) and will be reexamined and/or reconfirmed for each semester as the project progresses.
The next communications meeting will be September 16 at 1:00 PM in Morse Auditorium. Please note that the meeting will be held in Morse Auditorium instead of the project site office this week in anticipation of a larger turnout.
