West Campus Dining Expansion – Construction Update – 07/07/23

General Project Updates

This past week, exterior work began and excavation of the site’s utilities and stockpiling soil took place.
Soffit framing and drywall installation continued. The framing inspection was approved Wednesday.
Electrical installation was completed and the old lights were swapped out.
The KDP and KP3 panels were shut down to facilitate the installation of new wiring.
Plumbing installation and rooftop exhaust duct installation continued. The roofing pull test took place, as well as the installation of scaffolding in the stair tower at the loading dock.
Epoxy floor demolition continued in the kitchen, as well as mechanical equipment installation.

Exterior work will be ongoing along with the second stockpile.
Sheetrock wall installation will continue along with the first coat of paint in many areas.
Containment and abatement of room 122 will take place.
Kitchen floor removal will continue.
Electrical coring and rough-in for the kitchen equipment will take place.
Lighting and roof exhaust installation continues.
