West Campus Dining Expansion – Construction Update – 05/19/23

General Project Updates

In the Residence Life Offices, ceiling tile work was completed, doors installed, electrical work completed, and millwork installed.
In the new corridor, ceiling tiles were installed, the grease trap work was completed and work on the exterior canopy continued.

The Residence Life Office will be substantially completed this week. The Residence Life staff will be returning to their offices this week.
Phase 2 work in the dining hall and kitchen areas will begin, including the construction of temporary partitions and miscellaneous make-safe efforts to prepare for floor demolition, lighting replacement, and the construction of the new gluten-free kitchen area, along with the demo of the existing security station.
On Monday, 5/22, the electrical contractor to mobilize to the job site. The dumpster, scissor lift, and temporary toilets will be delivered.
On Tuesday, 5/23, and Wednesday, 5/24, light fixtures will be delivered, and the storm drain camera investigation at the manholes in the plaza and Nickerson Field will take place.
Dumpster exchange will take place at the end of the week.
