West Campus Dining Expansion – Construction Update – 5/12/23

General Project Updates

Corridor flooring, office carpeting, sheetrock patching and painting, installation of vestibule storefronts, and electrical and data installations have been completed.
On the exterior of the building, the team worked on site clean-up for Commencement Weekend, painting the temporary door, roofing at the canopy, re-location of temp fencing, and removal of the dumpster.

Movers will remove all the tables and chairs from the dining hall to allow for Commencement-related activities to be set up.

Installation of the walk-off mat at the vestibule continues.
Installation of the ceiling tiles throughout the space is underway.
Installation of the temporary wall and door at Residence Life offices continues.
The final painting of walls and ceilings will be completed.
Doors and hardware will be installed.
Roof work at the canopy will continue on Monday and Tuesday.
By the end of this week, the Residence Life Offices will be substantially complete and preparation for Phase 2 (dining hall renovations) will begin. This work consists of pre-construction layouts and investigations, as well as coordination meetings with various subcontractors.
