Center for Computing & Data Sciences – Construction Update – 12/16/22

During the weekend of December 17th

  • On Saturday, crews will continue the installation of the finishes on the lower floors of the tower. Final coats of paint and touchups continue. Start-up, testing, and commissioning of the building’s mechanical systems continue.
  • At the exterior of the building, the installation of landscape site features, curbing, and sidewalks continues.

During the week of December 19th

  • On the upper levels of the tower, floors 11-16, subcontractors are addressing punch list items.
  • On the lower levels, installation of finishes will continue, including whiteboards, corner guards, cabinetry, wood and acoustical ceilings, final paint, and furniture install.
  • Start-up, testing, and commissioning of the building’s systems continues.
  • Exterior site work continues, retaining wall, ramp, stair, planter, and tree install continues at the laneway between the building and the rear of the Bay State Road brownstones.
  • Concrete bases and new campus signage will be set in the lawn area between the CCDS building and Sargent College. Following the sign work, the sidewalk will be replaced.
  • Deliveries and assembly of office furniture will continue, working up the building.
  • Please be aware in addition to daily deliveries, trucks with large trailers will be staged adjacent to and moving around the site and pedestrians should be aware of all safety and directional signage in the areas as pedestrian and vehicle travel paths may be altered.
