Center for Computing & Data Sciences – Construction Update – 10/28/22
During the weekend of October 29th
On Saturday, on the interior of the building, crews will continue the installation of the finishes around the atrium’s monumental stair. Installation of ceilings will continue on the upper floors of the tower. The final coat of paint will be applied to the stairs and walls throughout. At the terraces, guardrails and green roof materials will continue to be installed.
At the exterior of the building, installation of landscape site features, curbing, and sidewalks continue.
On Sunday, crews will return to the site to continue to install finishes in high-traffic areas, such as the ground floor, elevator lobbies, and stairways.
Deliveries for miscellaneous materials will also occur throughout the day.

During the week of October 31st
Crews will continue installing finish wall panels and the finish ceiling system around the atrium. Finish materials at the stair guardrails continue to be installed.
Installation of finishes will continue throughout, including whiteboards, corner guards, cabinetry, wood and acoustical ceilings, interior glass walls,https://us14.admin.mailchimp.com/campaigns/edit?id=9295233 doors, final paint, polishing concrete floors, office carpet, and plumbing fixture install continues.
On the terraces, installation of green roof material and pavers continue.
On the 17th floor, crews will be preparing to install wood flooring in the corridors and the event space.
Start up, testing, and commissioning of the buildings systems continues.
Exterior sitework continues on all sides of the building, new sidewalks along Commonwealth Avenue, retaining wall, ramp, stair, and planter install continues at the rear of the Bay State Road brownstones.
As the new sidewalks, curbing, and planters along Commonwealth Avenue are being completed, the pedestrian travel path may alternate from the temporary sidewalk in the bike lane and the new sidewalk next to the building. Please be aware of directional signage in the area.
Deliveries and assembly of office furniture will continue working from the bottom floors up.
The project will continue utilizing a second shift, from 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday to advance interior work, accommodate off hour deliveries and material loading, and debris removal. Select subcontractors will continue working on third shift, from 11pm to 7am, to advance the start up and testing of building systems while the workforce is less then during normal business hours.
Please be aware in addition to daily deliveries, trucks with large trailers will be staged adjacent to and moving around the site and pedestrians should be aware of all safety and directional signage in the areas as pedestrian and vehicle travel paths may be altered.
