Center for Computing & Data Sciences – Construction Update – 02/11/22
During the weekend of February 12th
On Saturday, crews will be on site to continue buildout of elevators 4, 5, and 6 in the tower’s core. Installation of fire protection rough, and the atrium’s monumental stair will continue, along with spraying the fireproofing and intumescent coatings to the building’s steel columns and beams. Crews will also be on site assembling and installing curtain wall panels.

During the week of February 14th
Installation of curtain wall panels at the tower will continue on the 11th and 12th floors. Delivery and assembly of the panels before installation will continue on the floors above.
In the subbasement and lower level, wall finishing is ongoing while crews from the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) subcontractors will continue installing their respective systems.
On floors 2 through 7 of the tower, wall framing, overhead MEP rough install continues. Hanging and finishing drywall will follow behind.
On floors 8 through 17 of the tower, the MEP subcontractors will continue with system rough-in, installing electrical conduit, hangers, and piping. Wall framing will occur in select areas.
In the mechanical spaces on the 18th and 19th floors, crews will continue installing piping, ductwork, conduit, and wires to the mechanical equipment.
On the 7th and 8th floors, crews will be applying an intumescent coating to the steel columns.
Installation of the atrium’s monumental stairs will continue; this week’s focus will be on the section connecting the lower level and ground floor.
The elevator subcontractor will begin making final adjustments at elevators 4, 5, and 6 in the tower while continuing the buildout of the shafts for elevators 7 and 8 in the podium.
Installation of the roofing system at the podium will continue as weather allows.
Within the alleyway, the site contractor will continue trenching and install piping to connect the individual geothermal well circuits before connecting to the building.
Trucking activity to and from the site will be occurring daily with trucks entering and exiting the designated gates.
