Center for Computing & Data Sciences – Construction Update – 1/28/22

During the weekend of January 29th

Due to the winter storm forecasted for Saturday, the only activities on site this weekend will be storm cleanup.

Installation of curtain wall panels at the tower will continue on the 8th and 9th floors. Delivery and assembly of the panels before installation will continue on the floors above.
In the subbasement and lower level, wall finishing is ongoing while crews from the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) subcontractors will continue installing their respective systems.
On floors 2 through 6, wall framing, overhead MEP rough install continues, as well as hanging drywall.
On floors 7 through 17 of the tower, the MEP subcontractors will continue installing electrical conduit, hangers, and piping. Wall framing will occur in select areas.
Installation of the atrium’s monumental stair will continue.
The elevator subcontractor will continue installing cab shells and wiring for elevators 4, 5, and 6 and will begin to mobilize equipment for podium elevators 7 and 8.
Installation of the roofing system at the podium will continue as weather allows.
In the mechanical spaces on the 18th and 19th floors, crews will continue installing piping, ductwork, conduit, and wires to the mechanical equipment.
Within the alleyway, the site contractor will continue trenching and will install piping to connect the individual geothermal well circuits before connecting to the building.
Trucking activity to and from the site will be occurring daily with trucks entering and exiting the designated gates.
