Steel framing for the fixed terrace seating
Steel framing for the fixed terrace seating

During the weekend of May 15th

  • On Saturday, crews will be on site continuing to form the building’s structural steel columns and beams. During this time, crews will be working two shifts daily from 7 am – 3 pm and from 3 pm – 10 pm.

During the week of May 17th

  • Most of the activity on site will continue to be the formation of the building’s structural steel frame. Beginning on Monday, the first shift of this operation will start at 6 am due to vacated residence halls adjacent to the site; this also takes advantage of the longer daylight hours during the summer months. The second shift, from 3 pm to 10 pm, will continue daily. Two to six tractor trailer loads are expected to be arriving and departing from the site throughout the two shifts daily.
  • Overhead protection will be installed over the walking path at the rear of the Bay State Road brownstones, at the west end of the site. When completed, this overhead protection will be similar to the overhead protection in place along Commonwealth Avenue.
  • In the tower’s subbasement, installation of piping for the building’s plumbing systems will begin.
  • Please be aware of all directional signage, as pedestrian travel paths may be altered. We will continue to provide you with up-to-date information via these notifications.
