During the weekend of April 24th

  • The final concrete placement of the tower’s core (the 20th floor) is scheduled for early in the week. Following this operation, crews will begin to disassemble the formwork and climbing system to begin removing it from the site.
  • Crews will be on site Saturday and Sunday to continue installing rebar for the temporary foundation system which will be used to support the building’s cantilevers as steel members are set in place.

During the week of April 26th

  • The final concrete placement of the tower’s core (the 20th floor) is scheduled for early in the week. Following the placement crews will begin to disassemble the formwork and climbing system and remove it from the site.
  • From the lower level to the ground floor in the northeast corner of the podium, the installation of Stair C will continue.

  • Waterproofing of the perimeter foundation walls will continue.
  • The installation of the temporary foundation system for the support of the building’s cantilevers will continue.
  • As the tower core nears completion, the next major activity on site will be the erection of the building’s structural steel frame. This operation is scheduled to begin in the first week of May and will continue for several months. The project will be implementing a second shift, from 3 pm – 10 pm Mondays through Saturdays going forward, to maintain the project’s overall schedule.
  • Unrelated to the Center for Computing & Data Sciences construction, Eversource will be conducting a service upgrade that will require access to a manhole located within the site fence in the alley between Sargent College and the Bay State Road brownstones on Monday, April 26th at 11 pm. No disruption in service is anticipated.
