During the week of April 19th
There will be no work on site Monday, April 19th, in observation of Patriots Day.
Crews will return to the tower’s core on Tuesday to resume the installation of rebar on the 18th floor mid-week. Concrete is scheduled to be poured on the 18th floor mid-week. Formwork will then be jumped up to the 19th floor and rebar installation will begin towards the end of the week.
The formwork and rebar installation for the ground floor slab in the tower will continue and concrete will be placed in sections as rebar installation is completed.
The installation of “Stair C” will begin in the northeast corner of the podium from the lower level to the ground floor.
Waterproofing of the perimeter foundation walls will continue with the backfilling operation following behind.
In advance of structural steel erection beginning in early May, the installation of a concrete foundation system for temporary support will begin. This system will be used to support the building’s cantilevers as steel members are set in place.
Unrelated to the construction of the Center for Computing & Data Sciences, Eversource will be conducting a service upgrade which will require access to a manhole located within the site fence, in the alley between Sargent College and the Bay State Road brownstones on Monday, April 26th at 11 pm. No disruption in service is anticipated.
Please be aware of all directional signage, as pedestrian travel paths may be altered. We will continue to provide you with up-to-date information via these notifications.
