Concrete placement at the 2nd floor of the tower’s core
During the weekend of February 13th
Following Thursday’s concrete placement of the core, crews will be on site Saturday, February 13th, to remove the formwork that encased the concrete poured on Thursday and to begin reinstalling it for the concrete pour that will create the next level. This activity is part of the climbing formwork system.
Crews will return to the site on Sunday, February 14th, to advance the tower’s core. Crews will be continuing Saturday’s efforts: removing and reinstalling the formwork for the next level. The forecasted winter storm for Sunday, February 14th, could impact this activity.
During the week of February 15th
Due to the Presidents’ Day holiday, on-site work will be suspended this Monday, February 15th.
Rebar and formwork will be finalized for the bike shelter’s concrete foundation. The concrete foundation is scheduled to be poured mid-week.
At the tower’s core, rebar and formwork installation will continue for the 3rd floor.
Following last Friday’s concrete pour in the middle section of the north foundation wall, crews will begin to remove the formwork from the poured section and will continue to install rebar for the rest of the wall.
Installation of waterproofing at the tower’s south foundation wall will continue. Backfilling of these areas will follow as waterproofing is completed.
