Center for Computing & Data Sciences – Construction Update – 12/23/20
During the week of December 28th
- Removal of the Support Of Excavation (SOE) bracing will continue in the tower and begin in the podium.
- Backfilling around the podium foundation walls will continue.
- The installation of rebar and formwork for the stepped slab will continue, at the transition from the podium to the tower, with the middle portion scheduled for concrete placement mid-week.
- Rebar and formwork installation will also continue in the tower at the exterior foundation walls.
- Crews will begin to assemble a self-climbing concrete formwork system at the tower core. This system will be used to continue the concrete core structure up to the roof.
During the week of January 4th
- Removal of the Support Of Excavation (SOE) bracing will continue in the tower and in the podium.
- The installation of rebar and formwork for the stepped slab will continue, at the transition from the podium to the tower, with the final portion (upper tier) scheduled for concrete placement mid-week.
- Rebar and formwork installation will continue at the exterior foundation walls in the tower.
