Center for Computing & Data Sciences – Construction Update – 11/18/20
In preparation for a significant concrete placement for the foundation scheduled for 12/5/20, the contractor is required to adjust their normal operations. The following are several notable changes that will be occurring on the site starting 11/19/20:
- 6 AM start to unload reinforcing material
- Deliveries will occur along the Commonwealth Avenue side of the site accessing through Gate 1 & 2
- Working 10-hour days Monday-Friday until 12/5 placement
- Working both Saturday, 11/21 and Saturday, 11/28
- Work on Sunday, 11/22 and will evaluate if Sunday, 11/29 is needed
To maintain the overall project schedule in coordination with the BU academic calendar, the items noted above are considered overall to be the least disruptive. While it is understood there may be activities that are inconvenient to some, the goal remains for the project to be a good neighbor among the BU community. We apologize for the short notice of this unexpected adjustment in the schedule. This change is critical to the success of the project.
