Tim O’Connor, Electrical Services Manager at FMO, is leading the massive electrical lighting upgrade project at 33 Harry Agganis Way. Nearly 6,000 lights are getting upgraded to LED. The building currently uses 24 and 48 watt bulbs and will be upgrading to 6-12 watt LED lights. Residents will benefit from brighter spaces with improved quality of light. This project aligns with the University’s Climate Action Plan goals.

The University has a memoranda of understanding (MOU) with Eversource, the University’s electricity provider. Eversource works with BU to maximize energy savings through energy efficiency projects like this one.
