During the week of July 6th
- Driving of the sheeting for the Support of Excavation (SOE) system will continue along the south (Commonwealth Avenue), working towards Granby Street. Once completed along Commonwealth Avenue, the operation will turn west along Granby Street working away from Commonwealth Avenue, towards Bay State Road.
- Removal of the surcharge removal from the east end of the site has begun and will continue; trucking activity to and from the site will increase as a result of this activity.
- Installation of mini piles has begun at the east (closest to Sargent), and will be working east to west across the site. This activity will continue for the next few weeks.
- The electrical transformer arrived on site and has been set. The focus will now turn to installing cables and coordinating with the utility company to liven up the power service to the site.
- At the mock-up (766 Commonwealth Avenue parking lot), installation of all the façade materials has been completed, crews will now be installing final sealants and cleaning the mockup prior to review by the University and city officials over the next few weeks.
- As activity in and around the site begins to increase, please be aware of all directional signage, as pedestrian travel paths may be altered.
- We will continue to provide you with up to date information via these notifications.
