Geothermal Well Drilling Initiative – Construction Update – 12/13/19
During the week of December 16th:
Parking Lot N
- The drilling subcontractor will be drilling at GT-30 and will be following with the installation of the high-performance geothermal exchange vertical piping within the completed boreholes in the fenced in area of Lot N.
- Soil material stockpiling and handling in the basin area will continue. The site contractor will be using excavation equipment to remove this material from the settlement basin and load it into trucks for removal to a disposal facility.
- Water from the storage tanks will continue to be discharged into the storm water drainage system pending test results.
Alleyway
- Mid-week, the drilling subcontractor will make a final attempt to retrieve the drill equipment at GT-20 and then resume drilling to the full depth through the end of the week.
- Construction equipment will be periodically entering and existing the fenced-in area.
Park
- Construction equipment will be making periodic trips into the fenced area of the park to access the stockpiled materials.
