Geothermal Well Drilling Initiative – Construction Update – 11/29/19
During the week of December 2nd:
Parking Lot N
- The drilling subcontractor has started drilling to depth at GT-29 and upon completion, will move on to start drilling to depth at GT-28.
- The site subcontractor will be handling the soil material stockpiled in the basin area for settling. The site contractor will be using excavation equipment to mix this material and load it into trucks for removal to a disposal facility.
- Water from the storage tanks will continue to be discharged into the storm water drainage system pending test results.
Alleyway
- No drilling is anticipated next week within the alley. Construction equipment will be periodically entering and exiting the fenced-in area.
Park
- Construction equipment will be making periodic trips into the fenced area of the park to access the stockpiled materials.
