Geothermal Well Drilling Initiative – Construction Update – 10/18/19
During the week of October 21st:
Parking Lot N
- The drilling subcontractor will continue drilling at GT-6 and setting the steel pipe casing for the geothermal well at GT-1.
- The site subcontractor will be placing the material into the settlement basin within the fenced-in area of the lot and will be handling the soil material for removal and transport to the disposal facilities.
- Water from the storage tanks will continue to be tested periodically and will be discharged into the storm water drainage system upon acceptance from the testing agent.
Alleyway
- The drilling subcontractor will be drilling to 1500’ depth at GT-20. The drilling subcontractor will be installing the high-performance geothermal exchange piping within the borehole at GT-25.
- The subcontractor will be using a vacuum excavation truck to remove sediment from the dewatering tanks in the alley and will be placing the material into the settlement basin within the fenced-in area within Granby Parking Lot N.
Park
- The drilling subcontractor will be installing high-performance geothermal exchange piping within the borehole at GT-7.
- Construction equipment will be making periodic trips into the fenced area of the park to access the stockpiled materials.
