CFA Facade, Envelope, and Accessibility Renovations – Construction Update – 9/6/19
During September 6th – September 13th:
General:
Temporary signs are posted to help direct you through the first floor. The main building access is through the east entrance near the Concert Hall. Stair access directly off Commonwealth Ave will be open and closed periodically as construction continues and signage will indicate status. The central stair is always available for emergency egress.
On the Ground Level
- Work will continue along Corridor B93 as well as in the rooms along the corridor on the exterior side (south).
On the 1st Level
- The installation of HVAC piping and ductwork will continue in Corridor 197.
- Work will continue in the Commonwealth Gallery with the installation of HVAC equipment, sprinkler work and ceiling grid.
- The elevator lobby will continue to have ongoing work with the installation of HVAC equipment, lighting and ceiling work.
- Work will continue in Class Lab 109 as ductwork and HVAC pipe are installed during non-classroom hours.
On the 2nd Level
- Work will continue in the restrooms as well as the installation of flooring in the vestibule aiming for completion in the next week.
On the 4th Level
- Renovation of the restrooms will continue.
As a reminder to all, please be aware of all directional signage, as pedestrian travel paths may be altered at both the interior and exterior of the building. Your safety is imperative!
