Geothermal Well Drilling Initiative – Construction Update – 3/22/19
During the week of March 25:
Park Test Well #3
- Driller has mobilized and drilled 225 feet through the overburden, installed and grouted the casing on 3/21.
- This week, starting on 3/25, the drilling contractor anticipates continuing with the mud rotary drilling into bedrock at geothermal test well #3. A water tank truck will periodically be crossing Granby St. to access the hydrant on Bay State Rd.
- The drilling operations will be ongoing between 9 am and 5:30 pm and we anticipate higher than usual daily noise levels over the next two weeks.
As a reminder to all, please be aware of all directional signage, as pedestrian travel paths may be altered. Your safety is imperative!
