Geothermal Well Drilling Initiative – Construction Update – 2/8/19

During the week of February 11:

Parking Lot Test Well #1

The contractor Finished reaching target depth of 1500’ of the drilled hole on 2/5/19
This week the contractor will be installing geothermal piping and measuring verticality. Additionally, the geotechnical engineer will be obtaining soil samples from multiple locations in the parking lot.
Next week the contractor will be testing the thermal exchange with groundwater to confirm the performance of the system.

Alley Test Well #2

The contractor finished reaching target depth of 1500’ of the drilled hole on 2/4/19
This week the contractor will be installing geothermal piping and measuring verticality. Additionally, the geotechnical engineer will be installing geoprobes in multiple locations in the alley.
Next week the contractor will be testing the thermal exchange with groundwater to confirm the performance of the system.
