CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of 5/16/16
For the week of May 16, 2016:
On the Commonwealth Avenue side of the building, the team will continue replacing some of the glass units. Air and vapor barrier installation will continue on the Cummington Mall side, and installation of window frames will continue. On the Morse Auditorium side, there will be framing and sheathing from the swing staging, and the team will continue the installation of the air and vapor barrier from the mast climber. On the roof, the team will be completing the framing, sheath, and flash of the perimeter parapet walls. Delivery of roof material is expected mid-week.
Wall framing will continue on floors 7, 8, and 9. In-wall electrical and plumbing and above ceiling electrical, mechanical, and plumbing will continue on floors 2 through 9. Installation of drywall on floors 2, 3, and 4 will continue. Shielded room mock-up will begin on floor 9.
Police details will continue to man the construction gates along Commonwealth Avenue to ensure public safety. The safety of our community is our highest priority, so we ask that you please pay close attention to posted signs, police, and safety personnel.
