CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of 2/7/16
For the week of February 7, 2016:
Next week the project team will be prepping the structural steel for deck concrete pours on the west sides of the 7th, 8th, and, 9th floors as well as the roof. We have scheduled concrete pours for the west sides of the 7th and 8th floors, the roof, curbs, and pads.
Installation of winter-weather tarps will continue along with winter-weather protection, maintenance, and repairs. Installation of spray-on fire proofing will take place on the 8th and 9th floors. Assembly of mechanical equipment will continue on the 3rd floor and work on mechanical duct and piping will take place on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors.
Exterior wall framing will continue on the south elevation to the 7th floor, as well the southwest elevation from the 2nd floor to the 4th floor. Work on the exterior curtain wall will continue on the north elevation to the 3rd floor.
There will be a large volume of concrete trucks entering and exiting the site during morning hours next week. We will also be accepting deliveries off of Commonwealth Avenue between the hours of 5 a.m. and 7 a.m.
Police details will continue to man the construction gates along Commonwealth Avenue to ensure public safety. The safety of our community is our highest priority, so we ask that you please pay close attention to posted signs, police, and safety personnel.
The schedule of communications meetings for the spring semester has yet to be determined. Once a schedule is set, it will be posted on the project website and included in weekly updates.
