CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of November 1, 2015

For the week of November 1, 2015:

This past week the project team completed the installation of the crawler crane. Structural steel installation will progress rapidly over the next few weeks. Please be aware that there will be an increased amount of truck traffic during the morning hours next week as the steel is delivered to site. Safety continues to be a priority for the entire project team and there will be additional police details on-site next week to manage the increase in truck traffic. Please continue to follow the path identified by construction barricades and signs and be ready to take direction from police officers and project staff when necessary.

Monday (11/2) – The project team will be installing structural steel. There will be 3 tractor trailer deliveries between 7 AM and 9 AM. There will be a concrete pour during the morning on the east side of the site.  Approximately 7 concrete trucks will enter the site at the east gate.

Tuesday (11/3) – Structural steel installation will continue. There will be 2 to 4 tractor trailer deliveries between 7 AM and 9 AM.

Wednesday (11/4) – Structural steel installation will continue. There will be 2 to 4 tractor trailer deliveries between 7 AM and 9 AM.

Thursday (11/5) –  Structural steel installation will continue. There will be 3 to 6 tractor trailer deliveries between 7 AM and 9 AM.

Friday (11/6) – Structural steel installation will continue. There will be 3 to 6 tractor trailer deliveries between 7 AM and 9 AM.

The construction team holds regularly scheduled communications meetings on the first Thursday of every month at 10:30 AM and the third Wednesday of every month at 1:00 PM. These meetings are open to the University community and are held in the project site office at 602 Commonwealth Avenue (basement of Morse Auditorium) unless otherwise noted. The schedule of these meetings is set through the fall semester (December 2015) and will be reexamined and/or reconfirmed for each semester as the project progresses.

The next communications meeting will be November 5th at 10:30 AM in the project site office at 602 Commonwealth Avenue.
