CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of August 23, 2015
For the week of August 23, 2015:
Installation of pressure-injected footings (PIFs) and piles is complete. Foundation work will continue throughout the week which will result in heavy truck traffic entering and leaving the site. Utility work on Commonwealth Avenue will continue next week which will cause Commonwealth Avenue to be reduced to one lane at times. A police detail will be present to direct traffic. The utility work is expected to be complete by Tuesday (8/25).
The construction team will hold regularly scheduled communications meetings on the first Thursday of every month at 10:30 AM and the third Wednesday of every month at 1:00 PM. These meetings are open to the University community and will be held in the project site office at 602 Commonwealth Avenue (basement of Morse Auditorium). The schedule of these meetings is set through the fall semester (December 2015) and will be reexamined and/or reconfirmed for each semester as the project progresses.
The next communications meeting will be September 3rd at 10:30 AM. Please note, this meeting will be held in Morse Auditorium, not in the project site office in the basement.
