Grace Jacobi

Infant Teacher

Grace grew up in rural, central New York and moved to Boston to go to college. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences here at Boston University. During her time at BU, Grace worked at BUCC as an Assistant Teacher, and through that experience she found her passion for teaching young children in a child-centered, play based environment. She is thrilled to be staying at the Center to continue supporting children’s growth and development.

Grace loves working with children because she thinks they have as much to teach us as we have to teach them. Their innocence is a light in the world and reminds us to slow down and notice the simple excitements the world has to offer. She feels that it is such a joy to have an active role in guiding children through their interactions with the environment, people, and objects around them. Children often have exciting realizations about these interactions, and she enjoys helping them label those thoughts and feelings.

Outside of the classroom you can find Grace hiking, skiing, puzzling, or playing with her cat.
