Erin Nelson
Infant and Toddler Assistant Director
Erin Nelson serves as the Assistant Director of Infant and Toddler Programming at the Boston University Children’s Center. She brings over 15 years of experience in the field of early childhood education, with expertise spanning classroom instruction, program leadership, and curriculum development.
Ms. Nelson holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in equity and community professionalism. Prior to joining Boston University, she worked as a Program Implementation Manager at the Children’s Literacy Initiative, where she provided coaching, professional development, and continuous quality improvement support to educators and school leaders across Massachusetts.
Her professional practice is rooted in a strong commitment to equity, access, and community care. She is dedicated to fostering responsive caregiving, promoting culturally sustaining curricula, and creating inclusive learning environments that support the growth and well-being of young children and their families.
